At Tunbridge Wells Sub-Aqua club we are very keen on underwater archaeology and we often engage in dive related archaeological projects.
In recent years the club have been responsible for locating and raising the gun from the UB130.
This is now proudly displayed at the enterance to the Newhaven Maritime Museum.
See our page "Submarine Finds" for more information on the UB130 and other submarine projects.
As a club we are also keen to discover, mark and explore new dive sites.
Another favourite pastime is the exploration and identification of wrecks. Our club members are particularly keen on this pastime and have spent many hours recovering and photographing artifacts from wrecks which we then use to identify them - often involving much trawling through the internet.
See our page "Wreck Hunting" for more details on the wrecks we've found and the work involved in their identification.
