Diving Calendar 2008; 
We aim to have a full program of diving every weekend - however the good old British Weather doesn't always play ball - we are sometimes forced to abandon our plans if it's not considered safe to go to sea.
We organise our diving on two levels - week by week for the standard weekend diving which mainly takes place from Newhaven, plus more in advance planning for diving trips further afield.
Any Club Member is entitled to organise a club dive - they must check plans with our Diving Officer first of course - and we go from there.
Weekly dive plans are usually decided upon by Wednesday, based on tide times and the weather forecast, and announced at our club night (Wednesday) with details also circulated via our club e-mail. Members then simply contact the dive organiser to let them know they'd like to go.
Sometimes dives are organised to a specific Dive Site - in which case expected depth and site details will be announced at the same time - but more often the announcement will be - for example "we're going diving on Sunday, ropes off at whatever time" then the actual site is decided upon based on the experience levels and any requests received from those going.
